Saint-Cast-le-Guildo at the tip of the Emerald Coast peninsula

The campsite Le Clos Tranquille is located in the charming town of Saint Cast le Guildo, a seaside resort between Land and Sea with breathtaking landscapes.

A breath of fresh air for your vacations

If for you the ideal vacations rhyme with beach, then Saint Cast le Guildo is the perfect destination! There are a total of 7 beautiful sandy beaches. Les 4 vaulx being the closest (650 m), you will be able to bask in the warmth of the Breton sun while the children splash in the high waves!

Do you prefer walks? On foot or by bike, the 20 km of coastal paths and part of the GR34 hiking trail passing through the resort will allow you to enjoy the most beautiful views of the resort. For lovers of wide open spaces, go on an adventure on the 6 cycling loops in the hinterland of the Emerald Coast.

Downtown: charming and lively

For those who would like to discover the city center, you can stroll in the Pointe de la Garde area. Stroll through the old villas or the village to taste the local products offered by the small delicatessens or restaurants. Very dynamic, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo hosts many markets throughout the year:

  • Monday mornings (summer): Mielles market, Place du marché des Mielles
  • Tuesday morning: the market of Le Guildo, Rue Léonie Corre
  • Thursday evening (summer): the night market, Rue Jacques Catier and boulevard Duponchel
  • Friday morning: the Isle market, Place Anatole le Braz

If you want to learn more about the villas and the history of the resort, do not miss the discovery of the Villa Ker Leo, built in 1920 by the Levy family and designed as a mansion with an aristocratic model by the architect Boleslas Jankowski. For those who are passionate about architecture, you can participate in guided tours offered by the Tourist Office.

The port of Armor: the must of the Emerald Coast

You can reach the port directly from the city center in a few minutes on foot. This deep water port, inaugurated in 2009 and “certified clean port”, is bordered by a pedestrian dike where you will discover the old fishermen’s houses while enjoying the view on the sea. During your stay, you may have the chance to attend one of the high level sailing competitions like the Grand Prix de Saint-Cast or the European J80.

But especially during the summer period, you can make several boat trips to nearby towns such as Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer and the nearby Ebihens archipelago or Saint-Malo, the walled city.
