Picturesque villages along the River Rance

The Rance rises in the Mené mountains at Collinée and flows into the Manche after 100 km. The Rance flows through a number of communes:

  • Léhon, small town with character, Although much less well known than neighbouring Dinan, it is no less charming. Monks and lords have built a monastery here, Saint Magloire Abbey and a fortress overlooking the banks of the Rance. You can go for a walk and discover the benefits of plants in the medicinal garden of the Abbey, wander through the cobbled streets and admire the many small coloured doors stone houses.
  • Dinan, the medieval city marked by centuries of history. Within the ramparts, the town is bursting with’workshop-boutiques artisans of all kinds. Curious visitors will love strolling along the cobbled streets, particularly the steep Rue du Jerzual, in a medieval atmosphere. You can visit the castle or take a stroll around the small marina below.
  • Saint-Suliac, the old fishermen's den one of the most beautiful villages in France. Come and stroll along the harbour in the early hours of the morning or admire the changing colours of the granite from which the houses in the village are fashioned. The streets here are so narrow that they are nicknamed «les ruettes».

There are several lakes just outside Evran, ten minutes south of Dinan. The site is divided into two areas: one reserved for fishing and the other for leisure activities.
